If you fail to receive the email alerts from your Reolink battery-powered cameras, you may follow the troubleshooting tips listed below to solve the problem. There are several possible causes for the problem:
Cause 1. Incorrect Email Settings.
Solution: Try to verify your email by clicking Email Test on Reolink Client Mac/Windows or via Reolink App to see whether you the information you entered is correct. If it's not, please make it right.
Cause 2. Inproper PIR Schedule.
Solution: No email alerts will be sent when the PIR is scheduled to be turned off. You may see how to configure the PIR schedule to set proper schedule for the PIR sensor.
Cause 3. The PIR is not working properly.
Solution: Under PIR Settings, turn on “Enable Siren” and “Record”, then wave your hands in front of the camera to manually trigger an alarm. Then check if the camera will sound alarm and record a clip.
If it doesn’t, it’s likely the camera is faulty, which you need to report to Reolink Support.
Cause 4. Poor Internet connection.
Solution: Email alerts with attachment might not be sent if the internet connection is weak. Please go to E-mail Settings and select No attachment to see whether you can receive any email alert.
