Network & Connection

  • Yes, it supports dual-band WiFi - both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Refer to Introduction to the Requirements of Wi-Fi Networks for Reolink Wi-Fi Cameras to know more about the details.

Note: During initial setup, the camera must be connected to the same WiFi network as your phone. After setup, you can switch between 2.4GHz and 5GHz in the camera's network settings. Follow How to Set up Wi-Fi Band Preference via Reolink Software to set up.

  • E1 Pro / E Series E330 with hardware version IPC_NT1NA45MP supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax).

E1 Pro / E Series E330 with hardware version IPC_566SD54MP does not support Wi-Fi 6. However, both are fully compatible with Wi-Fi 6 routers. Most Wi-Fi 6 routers maintain backward compatibility with earlier Wi-Fi standards, so the E1 Pro can connect without any difficulty.

Troubleshooting

  • You can reset the camera in two ways, depending on your situation:

Option 1: Software restore (via Reolink Client or App)

If you can still access the camera through the Reolink Client or App and want to restore it, refer to How to Restore Reolink Products. After restoring, you're required to create a new password for the camera.

Alternatively, if you simply change the password without losing other settings, refer to How to Change Reolink Device Login Password.

Option 2: Hardware reset (via Reset Button)

When you have physical access to the camera, this is the quickest method. The reset button is near the camera lens. Refer to How to Reset Reolink E1/E1 Pro/E1 Zoom to find the reset button. After resetting, you're required to create a new password for the camera.

Note: Although "Restore" and "Reset" have slightly different meanings, they are used interchangeably here where the distinction is not important. For more information about the differences between these functions, see Introduction to the Differences between Reset, Restore and Reboot.

  • Difficulties with Reolink Cloud can stem from a variety of causes — including account and subscription status, network connectivity, camera firmware, or regional availability. Each situation may call for a different troubleshooting approach.

Rather than covering all scenarios here, we've put together a dedicated Cloud Troubleshooting Collection that walks you through the most common situations and their solutions step by step.

Recommended: Visit our Cloud Troubleshooting Collection to find the specific guide that matches your situation.
Before you start: Make sure your camera firmware is up to date and your Reolink app is the latest version, as many cloud-related difficulties are resolved in newer releases.

  • Connection difficulties can occur at different stages, and the troubleshooting approach depends on when the situation arises:

    (1) If you can't connect the camera during initial setup:
This is most commonly related to WiFi network configuration, phone settings, or setup procedure. We've prepared a dedicated Initial Setup Troubleshooting Collection that covers the most frequent scenarios — such as the camera not being scanned, failing to join the WiFi network, or failing to initialize.
-Recommended: Visit our Initial Setup Troubleshooting Collection to find the guide that matches your situation.
-Before you start: Double-check that your phone is connected to the same 2.4GHz or 5GHz network you intend to connect the camera to, and that you've entered the correct WiFi password. Ensure the camera is within a stable signal range of your router during setup.

    (2) If the camera was previously connected but suddenly went offline:
This typically points to network changes, router restarts, power interruptions, or feature-related factors. Our Camera Offline Troubleshooting Collection walks you through diagnosing and restoring the connection step by step.
-Recommended: Visit our Camera Offline Troubleshooting Collection to find the relevant guide.
-Quick checks: Verify that the camera's power adapter is securely connected and the LED indicator is on. Confirm that your router is functioning normally and that other devices can access the internet. If the router was recently restarted, allow 1–2 minutes for the camera to reconnect automatically.

  • Recording and playback difficulties can be divided into two scenarios. The troubleshooting approach differs depending on which one you're experiencing:

If the camera is not recording:

This can be caused by a variety of factors — such as the recording schedule not being enabled, the SD card not being detected or formatted, motion detection settings being misconfigured, or storage space being full. Our Recording Troubleshooting Collection walks you through checking each of these steps step-by-step.

If you can't play back recordings:

Playback difficulties are often related to the Reolink Client or App version, network stability between your device and the camera, and so on. Our Playback Troubleshooting Collection covers the most common causes and solutions.
