If you want to connect your NVR or camera via the Reolink App, Client, or other kinds of software, you need to connect the NVR to the network first. Check below for detailed information.

1. Battery-powered cameras; E Series Cameras(without LAN port); Reolink Lumus

Set a WiFi connection for the camera during the initialization process, so they can be connected to the network after initialization.

2. Reolink 4G LTE cameras

Install the SIM card into the camera for network connection. After successfully setting up the camera, it will be connected to a network.

3. WiFi Cameras with LAN port 

You need to connect the camera to your router using an Ethernet cable first, then configure the camera to connect with WiFi. Check below for detailed guides.

The E1 series camera with a LAN port can be connected to a network via both method 1 and method 3.

4. PoE Cameras

PoE cameras support both DC12V power supply and PoE power supply. There are two methods to connect the PoE cameras to the network.

Method 1. Power the PoE camera via a DC12V power adapter, then connect the cameras to the LAN port of the router by an Ethernet cable directly.

Method 2. Power the PoE camera with a PoE switch/injector, then connect the PoE switch/injector to the LAN port of the router by an Ethernet cable.

5.  NVR
