For Reolink WiFi cameras with LAN ports but no voice prompt, here’s a simple guide to complete the initial setup using the Reolink App or Reolink Client. Find and click the link for your preferred method.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Via Reolink App

    Before you start, scan the QR code to download and install the latest version of the Reolink App.

    For initial setup, please power on this camera with a DC adapter and also connect the camera to your router LAN port with an Ethernet cable, and then follow the steps to set up your camera. Make sure that your camera and your phone are on the same network.

    Step 1. Tap the icon in the top right corner to start the initial setup.

    Note: If you've enabled the Add Device Automatically option on the App's settings page, you can tap this device on the Home page and turn to Step 3 directly.

    Step 2. Scan the QR code on the back of the camera. Alternatively, tap Manual Input and manually type in the UID (the 16‑digit characters under the QR code on the camera). Then tap Next.

    Step 3. Create a login password and then name your camera.

    Step 4. Tap the WiFi network you want to join and enter the password of the WiFi network. Then tap Save to save the network configuration.

    Step 5. Done! The initialization of your camera is finished.

    Note:

    After completing the WiFi setup, please disconnect the Ethernet cable from the camera to verify whether the WiFi connection is working properly.
    If the cable remains connected, the camera will continue to use the wired (LAN) connection instead of switching to WiFi.
    Only after unplugging the cable will the camera rely on the WiFi connection you just configured.

    You can verify the Wi-Fi connection through the camera settings: check the Wi-Fi icon below the device name or the "Wi-Fi" section on the Settings page of the camera.

  • Via Reolink Client

    Before the initial setup, download the Reolink Client from the Download Center. For the initial setup, you need to power on the camera with a DC adapter and also connect the camera to your router LAN port with an Ethernet cable, and then follow the steps below to set up your camera. Please make sure that your camera and your PC are on the same network.

    Step 1. Launch Reolink Client, and click the “+” icon.

    Step 2. Find the camera by scanning the device in LAN, and then click the “+” button.

    You may click the refresh button if your camera does not show up immediately.

    Step 3. Create a login password for your camera. Then click Next.

    Step 4. Name your camera. Then click Next.

    Step 5. Click the WiFi network you want to join and enter the password of the WiFi network. Then click Save to save the network configuration.

    Step 6. Done! The initialization of your camera is finished.

    Now you could start live viewing your camera.
