If motion in PIR covered area cannot trigger all kinds of alarm including audio warning, push, recording and email, please refer to the possible reasons and solutions below:
Cause 1: Improper installation of PIR sensor.
Solution: please make sure PIR sensor is installed in the direction cross the possible intruder instead of facing it.
Cause 2: Alarm is not enabled or not scheduled during the time in device setting.
- please open Reolink App, go to “Device Setting” >> “Alarm” make sure “Enable PIR sensor” is checked.
Then go into the PIR settings
- please make sure alarm is scheduled during the time, tap “Schedule” to check the schedule settings.
Cause 3: Battery level of PIR sensor or camera is low.
- Please change the PIR battery if there is no light flashes on PIR sensor when you move your hand in front of it.
- Please change the camera battery if camera LED’s are completely off.
