Object Size allows you to define the minimum and maximum size of detected objects, helping your camera focus on targets within a specific size range. This article explains how to set the Object Size for your Reolink camera via the Reolink App.
Applies to: Reolink cameras that support smart detection.
Here is a video for your reference:
Before setting up, upgrade the Reolink App to the latest version and the device to the latest firmware version.
Step 1. Log in to your device on the Reolink App to access the Smart Detection page.
Note: The navigation path differs depending on the device connection.
For the standalone camera (left image) — tap the icon > Smart Detection;
For Reolink camera added to Home Hub/NVR (right image) — tap the icon next to the camera> Smart Detection.
Step 2. Tap Person, Vehicle or Animal to set the corresponding alarm settings.
Step 3. Tap Object Size to create object sizes.
- Tap Minimum Object, then drag to adjust the size of the orange rectangle. If a moving object is smaller than this rectangle, it will not trigger the alarm.
- Tap Maximum Object, then drag to adjust the size of the blue rectangle. If a moving object is larger than this rectangle, it will not trigger the alarm.
Important Notes:
- The size of the object and its placement are not important. If you reopen the settings and find that the frame’s position has changed, this is normal and does not affect the object size settings you have made.
- You can only set up a minimum size or a maximum size, or set up both at the same time. If you draw both of them, make sure the Maximum Object (blue rectangle) is bigger than the Minimum Object (yellow one).
- If you want to redraw the minimum/maximum object, just click the Trash Can icon and repeat the above operations.
- For Dual-lens series, object size is set for two lenses (Camera 1/Camera 2) together, and cannot be set separately.
