Applies to: All Reolink cameras that with a SD card 

If your camera stops recording even the SD card still has the capacity, there are several possible causes for you to check:

Cause 1: If the SD card is almost full, please format it referring to this article:

Check/Format Micro SD Card via Reolink App

Check/Format the Micro SD Card in Reolink Cameras via Reolink Client(New Client)

Check/Format the Micro SD Card via Web Browser 

Note: please make sure "Overwrite" is enabled. Then the camera will overwrite the videos when SD card is full.

 

Cause 2: The Motion detection or PIR settings are not set up properly.

Cause 3: Abnormal function of motion detection or PIR sensor.

For Reolink battery-powered cameras, please enable Siren and manually trigger the camera. If you can't hear siren, please contact support for further help.

For other cameras, please enable push or email notifications and manually trigger the camera. If you can't receive push/email notifications nor see this blue person mceclip1.png icon on the live stream page, please contact support for further help.

 

Cause 4: The SD card is not compatible or defective.

Please refer to the requirements below to choose the right SD card for Reolink cameras, otherwise, the recording function may not work properly.

Item Requirement
Capacity 8GB or 16GB card is suggested (Up to 64GB)
Read and Write Speed Class 10 or higher
Format FAT32
