A foggy camera lens can be frustrating, especially when it results from water ingress. If you've encountered this issue, it’s essential to address it promptly to prevent any permanent damage. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get water out of the camera.

Applies to: All Reolink cameras.

Problem Description for Water or Fog in Reolink Camera

Water has entered the camera, affecting various parts such as the lens, body, and tail cable. There is visible moisture, with mist or water droplets present on the lens, resulting in the live view image is blurry.

Troubleshooting Guide on how to Remove Fog from Reolink Camera Lens

1. For the water or fog on the exterior of the lens: gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Then, keep the camera powered on for a few hours to see if the fog or condensation dissipates.

2. If there is water or fog inside the lens, and your camera model has an SD card slot: open the SD card slot cover and keep the camera powered on for several hours to help remove the moisture.

3. Applies to vandal-proof models with shells (such as RLC-843A/RLC-540A, etc.): if there is fog or condensation inside or outside the shell cover, please wipe it clean, tighten the shell, and observe for any changes.

If the water/fog is still in the camera lens after the above suggestions, please contact Support, provide a photo of the camera lens or a screenshot of the Live View page to get further assistance.
