Description of the problem: The HDD is full and stops recording, and it will not automatically overwrite.

Cause 1: Enable overwrite is not checked

Solution: 

To enable overwrite, please refer to How to Enable/Disable Overwrite

 

Cause 2: Incorrect HDD specifications

Solution:

  1. Check to use the original HDD, or ensure use the HDD with required specifications. Please refer to What's the HDD Specs/Type of Reolink NVR
  2. Power off the NVR and open the NVR housing and unplug and replug the HDD.
  3. Restart the NVR.

 

Cause 3: HDD issue

Solution:

  1. Power off the NVR and open the NVR housing and unplug and replug the HDD.
  2. Format HDD after the backup of the video.

 

Cause 4: NVR firmware is old

Solution:

Upgrade the NVR, please refer to How to Upgrade the Firmware for Reolink Products

 

Note: Be sure to unplug and plug the HDD after the NVR is powered off.
