Reolink TrackMix LTE Plus is powered by the battery in the paired Solar Panel Plus. How long the camera will work will be affected by the working modes of the camera. Here is the introduction to the three working modes of the camera, and the estimate of the working time when the camera works under different situations.

Three working modes of Reolink TrackMix LTE Plus+Solar Panel Plus:

1. Standby Mode: This is the default working mode for TrackMix LTE Plus. The camera will be woken up only when the PIR motion sensor detects a motion or someone is accessing the camera via Reolink App/Client. Otherwise, it will stay on standby.

2. Standard Mode: The camera will enter into this mode if you set up a Timer (continuous) recording schedule for the camera. Under this mode, the camera will record at full frame rate.

3. Smart Battery Mode: This is an optional mode (off by default) that can be turned on/off when setting up the camera Timer recording schedule. Here is an explanation of its working mechanism:

If the smart battery mode is enabled, you could set up two battery level thresholds S1 and S2 (S1<S2), and:

  • When the battery level is above S2, the camera will record at full frame rate.
  • When the battery level is between S1 and S2, the camera will record at full frame rate only when the camera detects an alarm event. In the time without alarm events detected, the camera will record at a lower frame rate to extend battery life.
  • When the battery level drops below S1, the camera will stop continuous recording. Now the camera will only record PIR alarm events recorded at full frame rate.

The estimated run time of the battery on full charge:

The battery capacity of the Solar Panel Plus is 14400mAh. When it's fully charged:

  • The battery will last for about 1 year when the camera works in standby mode.
  • The battery could support the camera to record non-stop for about 48 hours (in Standard Mode).
  • The battery could support the camera to record for about 72 hours (in Smart Battery Mode).
