Installation Tips
1. Position the camera 2–3 meters (7–10 ft) above the ground to maximize the PIR motion sensor’s detection range and improve overall detection performance.
2. For optimal detection, install the camera at an angle where movement crosses its detection zones, as this helps the PIR sensor more effectively detect motion.
3. Install the camera in a location that receives at least 1 hour of direct sunlight daily.
Note: If a subject moves straight toward the camera, the PIR sensor may fail to detect motion. It is recommended to select a location with a good viewing angle through the Reolink APP before drilling
and installation. For more installation tips, see Reolink Camera Installation Tips.
Installation Steps
Step 1. To attach the base to the wall, firstly, unscrew the back cover by hand while holding the metal shaft to prevent it from falling.
Step 2. Attach the mounting template and drill two 2.5 cm (1 inch) deep holes at the marked points using an electric drill. Then remove the mounting template.
Step 3. Insert two wall anchors into the holes with a screwdriver, then attach the base to the wall with two screws to ensure it is securely in place.
Step 4. Secure the back cover clockwise to the base. While securing it, adjust the metal shaft to the desired angle.
Step 5. Align the mounting hole in the camera body with the metal shaft and tighten securely. And then screw the base firmly with the mounting wrench.
Note: Ensure the “FRONT” marking on the mounting wrench is facing the camera while screwing the base.
Step 6. Adjust the light to the desired angle.
Done! You have successfully installed your Reolink Solar Floodlight Cam.
