This guide walks you through the initial setup of your Reolink Go PT S Lite camera using the Reolink App. You’ll learn how to create or log in to Reolink account, activate the Reolink SIM card, connect the camera, and complete the basic configuration so your camera is ready for use. Follow the steps carefully to ensure a smooth and successful setup.
Step-by-Step Reolink Go PT S Lite Camera Setup
Preparation
A Go PT S Lite camera and the Reolink App installed on your phone (scan the QR code below to download if needed).
Note: Initial setup of the Go PT S Lite camera is only available in the app; it cannot be completed on the PC client.
Step 1. Create or log in to Reolink account
1. Create a Reolink account (If you don’t have one)

Click Me to create a Reolink account, enter the email address you want to register, and then click Next.
- Check your inbox and enter the verification code. Then create a password for the account and tick the box to accept the terms.

Click Sign Up to complete the process. You will then see a “Registration Successful” message.
2. Log in to your Reolink account (If you already have one)

Click Me to Log In to your Reolink account, then enter your registered email address and password.
- Click Send, and the verification code will be sent to your email.

Enter the verification code after checking your inbox.
- Done! On the Me page, you will see that you are logged in.
Step 2. Add and bind the device

Click Add New Device or tap the “+” icon in the top-right corner to start the setup.

Scan the square QR code on the camera. Alternatively, tap Input UID and manually enter the UID (a 16-character code starting with “9527” located under the QR code). Then tap Next.
- Insert the SD card, ensuring it is properly installed. For help with insertion, refer to, How to Install a microSD Card for Reolink Go PT S Lite (If you have already completed or confirmed this step, simply tap “I Got it” to continue.)

Power on the camera, pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds. (If the camera is already powered on, please click Next to continue.)

Enter the activation code on the camera body to bind the device.

Done! The camera is successfully bound. Click Done to subscribe to a data plan.
Step 3. Subscribe to a data plan

Choose a plan that best suits your needs.

After ticking the box to accept the terms, click Checkout, then read the Important Notice to continue.

Done! You've subscribed to a data plan. Click Back to Reolink to authorize the camera.
Step 4. Authorize the camera
- After subscribing to the data plan, the SIM card will start activating. Activation may take up to 5 minutes, so please wait patiently. While waiting, you will hear the camera voice prompt “Network connection succeeded.”
- After waiting 5 minutes, swipe down the Home page to refresh. You’ll see “Refresh succeeded” and a status labeled “Not Authorized.”

Tap “Not Authorized” to continue.

Press the Power button once on the camera and wait 5–10 seconds. When authorization is complete, the app will show “Device Authorized.”
Step 4. Initialize the camera
- When authorization finishes, the camera will begin its initialization process.

Create a name for your camera and read through the installation notes.

Done! Your device has been successfully initialized. Tap “Next” to start viewing your camera.
