  • Can I use this camera with third-party software or Reolink NVR?

Reolink battery-powered cameras can’t work with third-party software and Reolink NVR due to the hardware limit.
All Reolink battery-powered cameras don't support ONVIF protocol, RTSP stream, or related communication protocols that third-party software requires.
In addition, most third-party software and Reolink NVR don't have the battery management option that allows the camera to enter the power-saving standby mode when no motion is detected, thus they can't work together.
Therefore, it is recommended to access Reolink battery-powered cameras via Reolink software.

  • Can I turn off the spotlights?

Yes, you can turn off the spotlights manually via Reolink App & Client.

  • Does this camera support smart home platforms like Google Home or Alexa?

No, the Duo camera does not support the smart home feature.

  • Does this camera support time lapse?

No, the Duo camera does not support a Time-lapse function.

  • How can I charge the camera? Is a solar panel a must?

You have two charging options (including solar charging):
Option 1. Have the camera connected to a solar panel for a non-stop power supply.
This is recommended as the most friendly charging option for the camera's battery.
Option 2. Charge the camera (with its non-removable battery) via a 5V 2A USB charger. Note that it's OK to charge the camera while it's working, but not for long.
To purchase Reolink Solar Panel, you can choose the "1 Camera + 1 Solar Panel" option when buying this camera; or you can buy it separately from https://store.reolink.com/accessories/.

  • How long does the battery last?

The camera comes with a rechargeable battery. Normally, the battery lasts for about 1-4 weeks per charge. Battery life varies by use, configuration, and environmental factors. When the battery level goes down to 10%, the camera will send you a low-battery notification.
For a non-stop power supply, you can connect the camera to a Reolink Solar Panel (purchased separately).

  • Is a micro SD card necessary for the camera to record?

No, it's optional. You can also subscribe to the Reolink Cloud service to store the recorded videos on the cloud.
Note: The models supported by Reolink Cloud in some countries may be different. Please take the information on cloud subscription page for reference.
