Applies to: All Reolink cameras

Description of the phenomenon: The camera can't see the license plate clearly in the daytime.

Cause 1: Far distance from the camera

Solution:   Reolink cameras have both zoom lens and fixed lens. The visual distance of each lens is different. Please refer here for the detail Reolink Cameras Visual Distance on License Plates

If the car is far from the camera, which is hard for the camera to recognize the license plate, especially for the fixed lens camera. In this situation, we can only wait for the car close to the camera's visual distance.

Cause 2: The car is moving too fast

Solution: If the camera is close to the camera and within the camera's visual distance, but still can't see the license plate clearly, which could be the car is moving too fast. A car moves too fast and out of camera focus before the camera focuses on the plate. In this situation, it's hard for us to control and we don't have any further good ideas.

Note: For the battery-powered camera, it's really not suggested to be used to recognize the license plate since it is fixed lens and the PIR sensor needs about 0.8-1 second to wake up. If the car is moving too fast, the camera will not able to catch the license plate at all.
