Like any other electronic device, Reolink cameras and NVRs generate heat during operation. To prevent your camera or NVR from overheating, we offer the following tips:

1. Operating Temperature

  • Regular Cameras: -10°C to +55°C (14°F to 131°F)
  • Doorbell Cameras: -10°C to +50°C (14°F to 122°F)
  • NVR: -10°C to +45°C (14°F to 113°F)
  • Home Hub Series: -10°C to +45°C (14°F to 113°F)

Note: It is normal for the device's surface temperature to reach up to 58°C when the ambient temperature is 35°C.

2. Avoid Direct Sunlight

Do not expose cameras or NVRs directly to sunlight. Place them in a shaded area or install the camera or doorbell under eaves to keep them cool.

3. Ensure Proper Ventilation

If the camera or NVR is installed inside a box, ensure that there is adequate airflow. Avoid covering the camera or NVR with clothing or other objects.

4. Check NVR Fan Operation

For NVRs with fans, ensure that the fan is functioning properly.
