This article listed the possible causes and solutions for rusted network ports.
Applied to: All cameras which have a network port.
Problem description: The network port is corroded or rusted.
Cause 1: Improper protective measure
Solution: When the camera is installed outdoors, please use waterproof materials to protect the wire ports, such as waterproof lip, waterproof tapes, junction box, etc. Otherwise, the network port will get water in and easy to be rusted, which will be out of our warranty.
Cause 2: Hardware defect.
Solution: If the network port was protected and it is still corroded/rusted, please take a picture of the broken port and contact our support team for a warranty.
