Symptoms for Reolink Cameras Not Working Properly with RTSP Streaming

The Reolink Camera can be added for preview in third-party software but will experience issues such as screen flickering, freezing, delays, disconnections, and audio-video desynchronization.

  • Make sure the camera is previewed normally on the Reolink client/App. If the same issue happens on the Reolink software, refer to: Reolink Cameras Connection Issues
  • It is recommended not to access the same camera from multiple third-party software or Reolink clients at the same time.

Troubleshooting Steps for Reolink Cameras Not Working Properly with RTSP Stream

1. Make sure the firmware version of the Reolink device is the latest. How to Manually Update Firmware for Reolink Devices

2. Check if it is solved by modifying the camera stream configuration in Reolink software. How to Configure Stream/Quality Settings for Reolink Cameras

3. Check whether the third-party software uses the TCP connection method to solve the problem. Below are TCP settings for some common third-party software for your reference.

4. Use PING command to ping the IP address of the camera to check the delay. And provide a picture to show the ping result.

5. Check if VLC have the same problem when streaming the camera. If VLC has the same problem, provide video and packet capture data of VLC TCP connection.
