  • The camera cannot be detected by QNAP, which may indicate issues with network connectivity, configuration, or compatibility between the devices.
  • Even if the camera is successfully detected by QNAP, it may fail to be added, suggesting potential problems with the integration process.

Troubleshooting for Failure Adding Camera to QNAP

  • Correct adding method: Please follow the video to add it correctly How to Add the Camera to QNAP (youtube.com)
  • Correct username and password: Make sure the username and password are entered correctly.
    If the error is 'Username or password is incorrect' or 'Authentication Failed,' it indicates that the username and password entered by the customer are incorrect. Please re-enter the correct username and password.
    If you have forgotten the password, please note that the password was created during the initial setup. Please restore the camera and create a new password using the Reolink App or Client on another phone or computer that is already logged in to this camera. How to Restore Reolink Products

  • Do port forwarding: If your camera and QNAP are not in the same network, please make sure the camera Onvif port and RTSP port are forwarded properly on your router, then add the camera with your QNAP by router Wan IP and Onvif port.
