Applies to: All Reolink cameras and NVRs.

If you fail to playback some of the recordings, or you cannot completely playback the recordings, please go through this article.

Recordings Saved in the SD card

Please check if the problem exists in all devices, including APP, Client and web browser.

If yes, there may be some reasons.

  • Cause 1: The view of the camera is too Complex.

Switch between Clear and Fluent mode to check if the problem still exists in the fluent mode. Also, please change to a lower bitrate rate to see if the problem can be solved.

Note:

If the problem can be solved in this way, please upgrade the camera's firmware to the latest one. How to Upgrade the Firmware for Reolink Products

If the problem cannot be solved with the latest firmware, we will forward your problem to our engineers.

  • Cause 2: The Recordings are Damaged

Please take out the SD card and display the recordings on the computer, to see if the recordings are damaged.

  • Cause 3: The SD Card is Broken

Please format the SD card. Please refer to Check/Format the Micro SD Card in Reolink Cameras

If convenient, please exchange another SD card to have a check. Refer to Choose Micro SD Card for Reolink Cameras

 

If the problem still exists, please upgrade the APP/ Client to the latest version.

 

Recording Saved in the HDD

Please playback on the monitor to see if the problem exists.

If yes, there may be some reasons.

  • Cause 1: The HDD is Broken (All cameras have the problem).

Please format the HDD

If convenient, please exchange another HDD to have a check. 

  • Cause 2: There is something wrong with the camera(s) /channel(s) (Not all the cameras have the problem).

Please exchange a working cable and a working port for the camera.

  • Cause 3: Firmware is not the latest one.

Please upgrade the firmware of the NVR and cameras.

  • Cause 4: Unstable Network Connection.

The cameras are powered on with the power adapter and connected to the same router with the NVR (in the LAN). If the network is not good or the bandwidth is insufficient, recording problems may occur.

 

If there is no problem when playback on the monitor, please upgrade the APP/ Client to the latest one.
