Applies to: All Reolink NVRs

After the mouse has been plugged into the NVR via the USB port, the mouse does not work.

For Wired Mouse

Cause 1: The mouse is not recognized by the NVR.

Solution: Unplug and replug the mouse, and try both USB ports. After doing so, if the NVR still cannot be recognized, please reboot the NVR.

Cause 2: The mouse is defective.

Solution: It is advised to change with another working mouse. If the mouse does not work both on the computer and on the NVR, the mouse may be defective.

Cause 3: The mouse is not compatible with the NVR.

Solution: If the mouse can work on the computer but cannot work on the NVR, please plug a USB drive into the NVR via the USB port. If the USB drive can be recognized on the backup page, the mouse may be not compatible with the NVR.  And it is advised to use another working mouse.

Cause 4: The USB port is defective.

If the mouse can work on the computer but cannot work on the NVR and the USB drive cannot be recognized on the backup page, then the USB port of the NVR may be defective.

For Wireless Mouse

Note: it's suggested to use a wired mouse instead of a wireless mouse.

Cause 1: The mouse is not wakened up.

Solution: Turn on the mouse, and click on the mouse to wake it up.

Cause 2: The mouse has run out of power.

Solution: If the mouse cannot be wakened up by clicking and its bottom light does not flash, it may be out of power and needs battery replacement/charging.

Cause 3: The mouse is defective.

Solution: If the mouse is of energy but still does not work on both the computer and the NVR, the mouse may be defective. It is advised to change with another working mouse.

Cause 4: The mouse is not compatible with the NVR.

Solution: If the mouse can work on the computer but cannot work on the NVR, please plug in a USB drive via the USB port.  If the USB drive can be recognized by the NVR on the backup page, the wireless mouse may be incompatible with the NVR.  And it is advised to use another working mouse.

Cause 5:  The USB port is defective.

Solution: If the mouse can work on the computer but cannot work on the NVR, and the USB drive cannot be recognized on the backup page, it is advised to change into another USB port on the NVR, since the previous USB port of NVR may be defective.
