You have two methods to check whether the solar panel or power adapter is connected properly to your camera and charging properly.
Method 1. Battery Light of Reolink Battery-powered cameras
Check the battery light of the camera which is located around the micro USB port. If the camera is connected to the solar panel or power adapter properly, the battery light would be orange/green.
Method 2. Charging Icon on Reolink Software
Launch your Reolink App and check the icon shown on the camera.
- When the camera is connected to a DC power source, a plug icon will appear.
- If your camera is connected to a Solar Panel, there will be an icon of a sun shown on the page of the camera.
- When your camera is charging, a lightning bolt icon will appear.
Or you can go to the Device Settings page to check whether there is a sun/plug icon on Battery and whether there is a lightning bolt icon.
Also, tap Battery and you will find a sun/plug icon and a charging icon to show that your camera is being charged by the solar panel/power adapter now.
What Do the Charging Icons on the App Mean?
Green indicates camera is charging or fully charged.
Blue indicates camera is not charging and battery level is ≥ 40%.
Orange indicates camera's battery is < 40%.
Red indicates camera is in low battery.
