In this article, we'll guide you on how to search for recordings from specific dates and times on Reolink products, using various software for easy access and efficient playback.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Via Reolink App

    Step 1. Launch the Reolink App, and enter the Live View interface of the camera. You will see the Playback button on the bottom, click it to continue.

    Step 2. Choose the date on which you want to search for videos. The date with recordings will be in black while the date without recordings will be in grey, and the date you choose will be in blue.

    Step 3. Slide the timeline below to filter to the approximate time range, then you can scroll the video above to more precisely locate the specific clip you want to check.

  • Via Reolink Client

    Step 1. Launch Reolink Client and log in to your Reolink device, click Playback to enter the playback page.

    Step 2. Double-click the camera or manually drag the camera as shown in the picture below to make it show up on the playback page.

    Step 3. Click the calendar to choose the month & date on which you want to search for videos. Dates with recordings saved will have a blue dot.

    Step 4. Move your mouse on the timeline to locate a specific time to check the recordings. The grey part of the playing bar means timer recording, the blue part alarm recording, and the black means none.

    You can scroll your mouse up or down to increase or decrease the time interval, making it easier to precisely locate the specific recording.

  • Via Reolink Web browser

    Applies to: Which Cameras/NVRs/Home Hub Can be Accessed via Web Browsers

    Log in to your device through a web browser by entering the IP address of your camera in the address bar of the browser. Click on Playback, then search for recordings by selecting a date on the calendar (yellow indicates recordings are available for that day) and choosing the time on the timeline.

    You can scroll your mouse up/down or click the "+/-" to increase or decrease the time interval, making it easier to precisely locate the specific recording.

  • Via Monitor (For Reolink NVR Users with New UI)

    Applies to: Reolink NVR with New UI

    On the monitor, click Playback page. Note: Due to differences in NVR versions, the Playback button may be found in the bottom menu bar. Please refer to your NVR's specific interface for its exact location.

    Select the camera, choose the recording date, and pick the time on the timeline. The grey part of the playing bar means normal recording (Timer), the blue part means alarm recording, and the black means none.playback on monitor

  • Via Monitor (For Reolink NVR Users with Old UI)

    Applies to: Reolink PoE NVRs with hardware version H3MB02/H3MB16.

    There are four methods to search recordings via Reolink PoE NVR on a monitor, you can check more details below.

    Method 1:

    Step 1. Log in to the NVR on a monitor, and go to the Menu > Search > Playback page.

    Step 2. Select Channel, Video Type, and Start/End Time according to your demands, and click Play to proceed.

    There are four Video Types: All, Manual, Schedule, and Motion.

    • All — all video types.
    • Manual — videos recorded manually.
    • Schedule — videos recorded as scheduled.
    • Motion — motion detection recordings.

    Method 2:

    Step 1. Go to Menu > Search > Playback page.

    Step 2. Select Channel, Video Type, and Start/End Time according to your demands, and click Search to filter all the recordings that meet the requirements.

    Method 3:

    Step 1. Go to Menu> Search > Playback. Click the Detail button to show the Date/Time-Channels recording table.

    Step 2. Choose the date and click Search to show the recordings in each channel, then click the cell in the table you want to play.

    Step 3. Select the channel(s) for synchronous playback (at a maximum of 4 cameras), then click OK to proceed.

    Method 4:

    Step 1. Go to Menu > Search > Event page.

    Step 2. Choose the Channel and set the Event type, Start Time and End Time. Click Search to proceed.
