Applies to: Reolink cameras except battery-powered ones
If your Reolink Client failed to scan the camera IP address, you may follow the troubleshooting tips below to solve the problem.
Cause 1. The camera is powered off
Solution: When directly connect Reolink PoE / WiFi cameras to your PC, you need to use an external 12V/2A DC adapter to power up the cameras. If you have not, please try and see if it works.
Cause 2. Firewall protection
Solution: If you cannot find any device or the IP address of the camera when Scanning Device in LAN, please turn off the firewall of your PC to see if it works. You may refer to this video for more details.
Cause 4: Unworking ethernet cable
Solution: If you are connecting your device directly to your PC and you have checked the solutions above but still cannot scan its IP address, please try to switch another ethernet cable that connects your device to your PC and see if it works.
Cause 3. Your camera or NVR doesn't in the same LAN with your PC.
Solution: If you are not connecting your device directly to your PC, When Scanning Devices in LAN in your Reolink client, you need to make sure your camera / NVR is connected to the same router as your PC is connected to. You could scan your device's IP address only when they are in the same LAN with your PC.
