What is Reolink Weatherproof Cap
The weatherproof cap is designed for Reolink cameras. It covers the Ethernet cable connector to prevent water intrusion, ensuring the RJ45 connector works reliably and maintains long-lasting performance — especially when the camera is installed outdoors.
Depending on whether an Ethernet cable is connected, Reolink cameras use different weatherproof caps to protect the RJ45 Ethernet port.
Type 1: Integrated Weatherproof Cap
This design is permanently attached to the camera cable and protects the RJ45 Ethernet port when it is not in use. To use it, simply press or tighten the cap over the RJ45 port.

Type 2: Detachable Weatherproof Cap

This design consists of multiple weatherproof components that must be assembled onto the Ethernet cable before it is connected to the camera.

Is a Weatherproof Cap Kit Included in Package?
Most Reolink cameras equipped with an RJ45 Ethernet port come with an integrated Waterproof Cap. However, the design may vary by camera model. Refer to the actual camera for the applicable Waterproof Cap. The following table shows whether the Weatherproof Cap Kit is included in the package.
