Auto tracking uses advanced technology that consists of both detection and tracking. The camera will automatically detect, follow, and even record a specific object in the cover area.

Applies to: RLC-523WA, RLC-81PA, RLC-823 Series (RLC-823A, RLC-823A 16X, RLC-823S1, RLC-823S2, RLC-823S1W), RLC-830A, E1 Outdoor Series (E1 Outdoor, E1 Outdoor PoE, E1 Outdoor Pro, E1 Outdoor S, E1 Outdoor CX), E1 Pro (hardware version IPC_566/IPC_NT1) and E1 Zoom (hardware version IPC_566/IPC_NT1), Reolink TrackMix Series (TrackMix, TrackMix LTE, TrackMix WiFi, TrackMix PoE, TrackMix LTE Plus, TrackMix Wired LTE), Argus Track, Reolink Altas PT, Reolink Altas PT Ultra

The pan/tilt function will adjust the direction of the camera so that moving objects can be tracked automatically. The way the camera detects and tracks things is complex, but a simpler version goes like this: the camera starts by comparing an image with the previous image of that target to note the difference between the background and any moving objects. Next, it picks a target (person/vehicle/animal) it is set to track and follow Horizontally/Vertically (Different models may have varying tracking capabilities, refer to the camera's settings interface for specifics). The camera will recognize the target according to the person/vehicle/animal detection, as well as use the pan/tilt/zoom function to track those objects and search areas that have a lot of similarities.
