- Floodlight not detected when connected to NVR: The device does not appear in the list of connected devices within the NVR interface, indicating that the NVR cannot establish a connection with the Floodlight.
How to Troubleshoot Reolink Floodlight Offline Issues
Step 1: Check Power and Network
Begin by checking the status light to diagnose the issue:
Status Light Off: Indicates the device is not receiving power.
Status Light Turns Red or Is Flashing Red/Blue: Signifies a network connection issue.
-
Power Check:
Confirm the status light is illuminated blue. If off, inspect the adapter, cable, or port for faults. -
Network Check:
For Wired Connections, try using a different Ethernet cable or port.
For Wi-Fi Connections, test with a wired connection or switch to another Wi-Fi network to rule out wireless interference or configuration issues.
Step 2: Restart Devices
Power cycle both the Floodlight and the router. This can resolve many transient network issues.
Step 3: Update Firmware
For users who use Floodlight and NVR together, ensure that your Reolink NVR has the latest firmware version. Updating the firmware can fix compatibility issues and improve system stability. Follow the Reolink Firmware Update Guide for detailed instructions.
Step 4: Perform a Hard Reset
A hard reset can address certain configuration-related problems. Press and hold the reset button with a paper clip or reset needle until the floodlight beeps and the status LED flashes blue and red.
Note: A hard reset will erase all configurations, requiring you to reconfigure the device after resetting. For detailed instructions, refer to the How to Reset Reolink Floodlight.
By following the above troubleshooting steps, you should be able to understand why your Reolink Floodlight keeps going offline and potentially resolve most issues related to your Reolink Floodlight going offline.
