How to Delete Video Recordings via Reolink App (Supported Models)
For devices mentioned above, you can delete individual video clips directly from your phone app.
- Open the Reolink App and go to the Playback page for your camera.
- Find and select the video clip you wish to delete.
- Tap the trash bin icon in the top right corner and confirm the deletion.
For Devices That Don’t Support In-App Deletion
For devices that do not support direct deletion of specific video clips via Reolink software (from Micro SD cards or HDDs), please follow the methods below:
1. To delete specific clips:
- For Micro SD Cards: Remove the card and delete the files manually on a computer.
- For HDDs: Direct file deletion is not supported.
2. Alternative: Automatic Overwrite
If you prefer not to manually remove the storage media, the device supports automatic overwrite functionality to manage recording space. When the storage becomes full, it will automatically overwrite the oldest footage to continue recording. Additionally, if your device supports the feature, you may set a custom retention period (e.g., keep recordings for a specific number of days) in the settings—recordings older than the set period will be automatically overwritten as well. Refer to: How to Enable or Disable microSD Card/HDD Overwrite on Reolink Devices.
