If there are areas where you don't want your camera to detect motion, you can set up a motion detection zone to exclude those areas. This can help reduce unwanted motion alarms caused by irrelevant movement.

Applies to: All Reolink PoE and WiFi cameras and NVRs.

Note: The areas you paint are excluded from motion detection and will not trigger motion alarms. And Non-detection zones only apply to Person, Vehicle and Animal, not to other AI detection fucntions. For battery-powered cameras, the detection zone settings vary by model. See How to Set up Non-Detection Zone for Reolink Battery-powered Cameras for details.

Step 1. Launch the Reolink App and log in to your camera. Tap gear.png to go to the Device Settings page.

Step 3. Tap paint and paint over the areas where you don't want the camera to detect motion. Tap erase to remove a painted area. If you would like to paint or erase all the areas at once, tap Paint All or Erase All. Then tap Save on the top right to save the setting.

Note: Make sure the areas you don't want to detect are fully covered by the painted area. (See the image on the right below.)

For Duo PoE/WiFi cameras, set the detection zone separately for each lens. Select Camera 1 or Camera 2 to switch between the two lenses.
