All IP cameras (except for battery-powered cameras)
Since there is no indicator to show that the IP camera is powered up, this article will help you to check whether the IP camera is powered up properly or not.
Normally we judge from the infrared lights. The infrared lights are enabled by default settings. If you disabled them before or you are not sure, please first reset the camera to default factory settings (Forget Password (Bullet Cameras or Dome Cameras)).
Please follow the steps below to do troubleshooting:
Step 1. If your camera is powered by DC adapter, please change a good power supply (12V/2A) and outlet to have a try.
If your camera is powered via POE to a POE NVR/switch, please change an Ethernet cable and change a different port on POE NVR/switch. If the problem exists, please power the camera by DC adapter to have a try.
Step 2. Please cover the day/night sensor on the camera and see whether the infrared lights turn on.

If the infrared lights don't turn on after doing the steps above, then the problem could be the camera hardware faulty. Please contact technical support.
