Applies to: All IP cameras (except for battery-powered cameras).
There're several possible causes for failing to power Roelink IP cameras. You may follow the troubleshooting tips listed below to solve the problem.
Cause 1. Defective power supply
Solution: If your camera is powered by a DC adapter, please use a properly-functioning power supply (12V/2A) and outlet to see if if works.
If your camera is powered via the POE port of a POE NVR/switch, please use another Ethernet cable and try a different port on the POE NVR/switch. If the problem persists, please power the camera via DC adapter to see if it works.
Cause 2. Defective camera hardware
Solution: Cover the day/night sensor or place the camera in a dark environment to see whether the Infrared lights will turn on or whether you can hear a click sound. If not, please reset the camera to default factory settings and try again.
