Applies to: All Reolink battery-powered cameras (Excluded Reolink Go).
Note: Before you start, please click or scan the QR code to download and install the latest version of Reolink App, power up your camera and place it near your router.
You follow the steps below to do initial setup for Reolink products via Reolink App
Step 1. Install the battery and wait for the voice prompt: Camera has been started up. Please run Reolink App, add the camera and set it up.
Note: If you couldn't hear this voice prompt, please reset your camera.
Step 2. Tap on the icon in the top right corner to start the initial setup.
Step 3. Scan the QR code on the back of the camera. If the phone doesn't respond, please click Enter and then manually type in the UID (16-digits characters under the QR code of the camera).
Note: You may click Light to enable flash light when setting up in a dark environment.
Step 4. Click Connect to Wi-Fi, then click I have heard the voice prompt to enter the next page.
Step 5. Enter the Wi-Fi password of the selected Wi-Fi network (you may click see and double-check the password) and press Next.
Step 6. For Reolink battery-powered cameras, a QR code will be generated and displayed on your phone. Please place the QR code on your phone in front of the camera’s lens at a distance of about 20 cm (8 inches) and let the camera scan the QR code.
1. Please ripped off the protection film of the camera’s lens.
2. You may double click on the QR code to enlarge the picture.
3. If you fail to scan the QR code, you may click for a simple troubleshoot.
Click Scan Succeeds if you hear the camera's voice prompt Scan Succeeds: The camera is connecting to your router, please wait.
Step 7. Click the Connection to the router succeeded or Connection to the router failed based on what you hear.
Note: If you hear connection to the router failed, you may click for a simple troubleshoot.
Step 8. You may need to initialize your camera to watch live view or configure more settings.
Once initially setup is completed, you may choose a good position to mount your camera.
