Troubleshooting Reolink Doorbell Chime

1. Compatibility check. Please confirm that your Reolink doorbell and chime are compatible versions (you can find the label on the camera and chime to check the version. If there is no specific version label, it is Doorbell WiFi/PoE V1):

  • Doorbell WiFi/PoE V1 can only be used with Chime V1.
  • Doorbell WiFi/PoE V2/V3 and Doorbell (battery) can only be used with Chime V2.

3. Upgrade the Reolink NVR and doorbell to the latest firmware on the official website.

  • Reolink NVR (new UI) also supports pairing Reolink Chime with Doorbell camera on App/Client/Monitor. If you do not see the Reolink Chime option on your NVR, please upgrade your NVR to the latest firmware: How to Upgrade Firmware for Reolink Products
  • In order to avoid some problems with the old camera firmware, it is also recommended to upgrade the doorbell camera's firmware to the latest version on the official website.

4. Special Cases of door chime not working

  • If the Reolink chime does not ring when the doorbell is pressed from a certain distance, it may be because the chime is not detected due to the distance. We recommend installing the chime closer to the doorbell.
  • If your camera and chime are V1 versions, please check the power supply of the doorbell to ensure it meets the power requirements listed below. We suggest replacing the corresponding power equipment and accessories, such as adapters, Ethernet cable, and port.
