Symptoms for Motion Sensor False Alarms

You receive alerts (Push, Email, or recordings) from your Reolink camera indicating people, vehicles, or pets, but upon checking the alerts, no such entities are found in the recordings.

Troubleshooting Steps for Motion Sensor False Alarms

1. Verify Alarm Schedule Settings
Ensure that the alarm schedule settings on your Reolink camera are configured correctly.

Note: If you only want the camera to alert upon detecting people, vehicles, or pets, disable the "Any Motion" option in the schedule. Enabling the "Any Motion" option may trigger alarms for any movement, such as changes in brightness, lighting changes, or tree swaying due to wind.

2. Adjust Sensitivity
Fine-tune the AI Sensitivity, Detection Zone, Object Size, and other smart detection-related settings according to your specific environment and needs.

3. Update Firmware (not applicable for battery-powered cameras)
Make sure your Reolink camera's firmware is updated to the latest version to address any known issues or bugs related to motion detection.
