If your Wi-Fi camera fails to sync Wi-Fi and stops connecting to the network after you unplug the network cables from the RLN12W NVR, learn what to do.
Applies to: WiFi cameras (battery-free), RLN12W, NVS12W
Symptoms for Reolink Wi-Fi Cameras Failing to Sync Wi-Fi:
You can access the live view when the camera is wired to the RLN12W, but cannot when it's unplugged.
Follow the following steps to troubleshoot your camera:
1. Platform
Make sure you sync the NVR's Wi-Fi to your camera via a TV monitor. The Wi-Fi sync feature is not currently available through the Reolink App and Client. Learn how to add Reolink IP cameras to Reolink Wi-Fi NVR.
2. NVR & Camera Firmware
Make sure your camera and NVR have updated to the latest version in the Reolink Download Center: Download Center – Reolink
3. Wi-Fi Name & Password
Make sure the Wi-Fi name and password on the NVR haven't been changed to others and don't contain any special characters.
If the Wi-Fi name or password contains special characters, delete them and try again.
If you've updated your Wi-Fi name or password but can't recall the new one, reset it to the default settings. Press the reset button and power up the NVR for at least 7 seconds. Avoid changing them again afterward.
Please note that pressing the reset button before powering up the NVR will clear all Wi-Fi settings. If you have other cameras connected to the NVR's Wi-Fi, they will be disconnected.
If you still need help, please contact the Reolink Support team. We may need you to provide the following information:
