The camera fails to return to the monitor/preset point after auto-tracking or manual pan or tilt. Here are some possible causes and solutions to help you identify and fix the issue.

 

Cause 1. Incorrect Settings.

Solution: Calibrate the camera and reset the monitor point/ preset point, ensuring that the monitor point / preset point is configured properly. For guidance, refer to How to Set up Monitor Point via Reolink App.

Cause 2. Outdated Firmware.

Solution: Visit Download Center – Reolink to download the latest firmware for the camera and upgrade it following How to Upgrade Firmware via Reolink Client (New Client).

Cause 3. Defective Hardware. 

Solution: Manually pan or tilt the camera lens to the rightmost or leftmost position and then return it to the monitor point / preset point, to see if it can return to the correct position or not.
