FAQ

Reolink battery-powered cameras support a standby mode, which is a low-power state designed to save energy. Compared with leaving the camera fully on, standby mode greatly reduces power consumption, and when resuming, it avoids the need to reissue instructions or wait for the camera to reboot.

For additional power saving, or in scenarios where the camera is not needed (for example, when you are at home), you can:

  1. Turn off PIR
Disabling the PIR sensor stops the camera from sending alarms. Reactivate PIR when you need the camera again.

  2. Use Shortcuts
With one tap, you can disable the camera’s linked features while at home, and re-enable them when needed.

Note: The camera cannot be powered on or off directly from the Reolink App/Client.
