How to set up my WiFi camera the first time I use it?
For the initial setup, you need to connect the camera to the router port using the network port, then scan the QR code on the camera using Reolink App to set up the password/device name for the camera. After that, you may select the camera to connect to WiFi. For more detail, please refer to How to Do Initial Setup for WiFi camera via Reolink APP

Can I use power extension cables to connect the camera?
Yes. The length of the camera cable and power cable is 40cm and 1.4m respectively and if the socket is out of reach of the wired camera, you can use a power extension cable. A 4.5m extension cable is included in the scope of delivery. If that's not enough, you can buy one from Reolink official online store.

What Ethernet cable do I need?
The camera supports T-568B connectors and 8-PIN Ethernet cables of CAT5 or higher.

Where are the recordings stored? Is NVR a must?
The camera can work without an NVR.
1. When it works without an NVR, the recordings can be saved to the Micro SD card (purchased separately).
2. When it works with an NVR, the recordings can be saved to the NVR.
Note: For best compatibility, do not use the camera with third-party NVRs. -
What kind of Micro SD card can I use?
This camera supports up to 256GB Micro SD cards with FAT32 format and Class 10 read & write speed.

Does this camera support Cloud recording?
No. RLC-542WA does not support Cloud storage.

Does this camera support PTZ?
RLC-542WA supports optical zoom, but it does not support pan and tilt.
