The IP address is a unique address used to identify a Reolink device on your local network. You may need it when setting up network connections, accessing the device through a web browser, or troubleshooting network issues.
You can find the IP address of a Reolink camera, Home Hub, or NVR in several ways, depending on how the device is connected. This article will show you how to find it.
Applies to: All Reolink cameras (except for battery-powered 4G cameras), NVRs, and Home Hubs.

Where Can I Find the IP Address of Reolink Device?
If the device is connected to the network independently, you can usually check its IP address through the Reolink App, Client, or Web Browser, depending on the device and supported access method. If a camera is connected to a Reolink NVR or Home Hub, the way to find its IP address is different because the camera is managed by the NVR or Home Hub.
Find your connection setup below to see where you can check the IP address.
| Connection Setup | Device to Find the IP Address For | Where to Find the IP Address |
|---|---|---|
| Camera connected to the network independently | Camera | Reolink App / Client / Web Browser* |
| Camera connected directly to an NVR | Camera | NVR Monitor |
| NVR | Reolink App / Client / Web Browser / NVR Monitor | |
| Camera added to NVR over LAN | Camera | Reolink App / Client / NVR Monitor |
| NVR | Reolink App / Client / Web Browser / NVR Monitor | |
| Camera added to Home Hub Series | Camera | Reolink App / Client |
| Home Hub | Reolink App / Client |
Note:
1. Web Browser access depends on the device model and connection setup. For Web Browser-supported models and access steps, see How to Access Reolink Cameras/NVRs/Home Hub Locally via Web Browsers.
2. If you want to access a camera directly connected to the NVR through a Web Browser, use the NVR's IP address, not the camera's IP address. The camera's IP address assigned by the NVR is for communication within the NVR system.
3. The IP addresses of the Home Hub and connected cameras cannot be checked via the monitor or Web Browser, as these interfaces do not provide a corresponding Settings option.
4. The NVR and Home Hub Series use an IP address in the 192.168.x.x default range. But the camera's IP address depends on how it is connected to the NVR or Home Hub:
- Directly connected to the NVR/Home Hub Pro: The camera is connected directly to the NVR or Home Hub Pro and uses an IP address in the
172.16.x.xdefault range. -
Added a new or reset camera to the Home Hub Series: If a new or reset camera is added to the Home Hub, the camera uses an IP address in the
172.16.x.xdefault range. -
Added to the same LAN as the NVR/Home Hub: The camera is first connected to a router, switch, or another network device and then added to the NVR or Home Hub over the LAN (local network). In this case, the camera uses an IP address in the
192.168.x.xdefault range. - If you want to switch the camera's IP address between the
172.16.x.xand192.168.x.xranges, simply change how the camera is connected.

If You Cannot Access the Device Through Reolink Software
If the device cannot be accessed through the Reolink App, Client, Web Browser or NVR monitor, you can refer to the steps below to try finding its IP address from your router.
- Log in to your router's web interface or management app.
- Open the page that lists connected devices.
- Depending on the router, this page may be called Connected Devices, Device List, DHCP Clients, DHCP Client List, or something similar.
- Find the Reolink device in the list.
- Check the IP address assigned to the device.
Note: Router interfaces and above steps vary by brand and model. A Reolink device may appear under a generic device name or hostname instead of "Reolink."
If you cannot identify the device, compare its MAC address with the MAC address shown in the Reolink App or Client.
