How to Set up Email Attachment

Reolink devices can send email alerts with text, pictures, or videos, depending on the device model and supported features. This article explains how to configure email attachment settings via the Reolink App, Reolink Client, and supported NVR interfaces.

Applies to: All Reolink Cameras & NVRs.

Available attachment options and menu paths may vary by model, firmware, and software version. Select a method that meets your needs and platform.

Via Reolink App

Step 1. Log in to your device on Reolink App and tap the icon > More Features.

Step 2. Tap Email Alerts > Email Content.
Via Reolink Client

Step 1. Log in to your camera and go to camera Settings > Surveillance > Email > Email Settings.

Step 2. Select the content (text, pictures, text with pictures, or text with pictures video) that will be attached to the motion alert emails.

Step 3. Click Save after selecting.
Via Reolink Web Browser

Applies to: All Reolink cameras except battery-powered cameras, Reolink E1, Reolink E1 Pro, and Reolink Lumus, and the add-on cameras in the NVR Kit. For details of the models that can be accessed via web browsers, refer to Which Reolink Devices Can Be Accessed via Web Browsers.

Step 1. Log in to your NVR via a web browser. Then click the gear icon on the top right corner.

Step 2. Go to Surveillance > Email > Email Settings. Scroll down to find the Email Content option. Select the content (text, pictures, text with pictures, or text with pictures video) that will be attached to the motion alert emails.

Step 3. Click Save after selecting.
Via Reolink NVR (New UI)

Applies to: RLN8-410 (hardware version NVR_NNT3NA78P / N7MB01 / N3MB01 / N2MB02 / H3MB18), RLN16-410 (hardware version NVR_NNT4NA716P / N6MB01 / H3MB18), RLN4E, RLN36, RLN12W, NVS4E, NVS8, NVS12W, NVS16, NVS36, RP-PN8, RP-PN16, RP-N64.

Step 1. Connect your Reolink NVR to a monitor via HDMI/VGA.

Step 2. Right-click on the screen, then click the icon > Surveillance > Email Alerts and enable Email Alerts. Then click Settings.

Step 3. Scroll down to find the Email Content option. Select the content (text, pictures, text with pictures, or text with pictures video) that will be attached to the motion alert emails.

Step 4. Click Save after selecting.
Via Reolink NVR (Old UI)

Applies to: RLN8-410 (hardware version H3MB02), RLN8-410-E (hardware version H3MB16), RLN16-410 (hardware version H3MB02/H3MB06), RLN4-410, RLN4-211W and RLN4-210W.

Step 1. Before setting up an e-mail alert for your Reolink PoE NVR, please make sure that the NVR is connected to the Internet.

Step 2. Right-click the live-view page and click Menu at the bottom to enter the menu. Then go to Network > Advanced > Email Settings.

Step 3. Click Attach Picture to select the email content.

Step 4. Click Apply after selecting.
