Installation Methods and Steps
There are 3 methods to install the Reolink Argus MagiCam camera. Choose one installation method based on your mounting scenario:
Method 1: Using Magnetic Plate
Step 1. Peel off the film and attach the plate to a clean, flat surface. Note: Stick the side with the film removed to the wall.
Step 2. Then place the camera on the magnetic plate, ensuring it's centered.
Alternative:
If a magnetic metal surface is available, you can skip the magnetic plate and attach the camera directly to the surface for quick installation.
Method 2: Using Magnetic Bracket
Step 1. Attach the mounting template and drill two 2.5 cm (1 in) deep holes at the marked points using an electric drill. Then remove the mounting template.
Step 2. Insert two wall anchors into the holes with a screwdriver and ensure they are securely in place.
Step 3. Attach the magnetic base to the wall with two screws and ensure it is firmly attached.
Step 4. Attach the camera to the magnetic mount and ensure it's centered.
Step 5. Adjust the angle of the magnetic mount and camera to achieve the desired viewing angle.
Method 3: Tabletop Placement
Step 1. Place it on a flat and stable surface to ensure proper positioning and stability.
Step 2. Adjust the angle of the magnetic mount and camera to achieve the desired viewing angle. For a more secure mount, it is recommended to screw the base in place to prevent movement when removing the camera.
