What If My Device Doesn't Support Individual Deletion on Reolink App?

If your device does not support deleting individual recordings through the Reolink App, you can use one of the following methods to manage the storage.

1. Delete Recording Files from a microSD Card

You can remove the microSD card from the camera and connect it to a computer to delete the recording files manually.

2. Delete Recording Files from an HDD

Individual recording files cannot be deleted directly from the HDD. Instead, you can use automatic overwrite to manage the available storage, referring to the following method.

3. Use Automatic Overwrite

Reolink devices can automatically overwrite older recordings when the storage becomes full. This allows the device to continue recording without manually deleting old footage.

On supported devices, you may also be able to set a retention period. Recordings older than the specified period will be automatically overwritten.

For more information, refer to How to Enable or Disable microSD Card/HDD Overwrite on Reolink Devices.

4. Delete All Recordings by Formatting

If you want to remove all recordings from the storage device, you can format the microSD card or HDD.

Note: Formatting will delete all recordings stored on the microSD card or HDD. Back up any important recordings before formatting.

Specific recording deletion options vary by Reolink device and storage type. If your device does not support deleting individual recordings, you can manage your storage through manual file deletion, automatic overwrite, or formatting, depending on the storage method.
