When you manually take a snapshot or start a recording from Live View in the Reolink App, the files are saved locally on your Android phone instead of your camera, microSD card, Home Hub, or NVR.
This article explains where these manually captured photos and recorded videos are stored and how to find them on your Android device.
Applies to: All Reolink Products.
Before You Begin
This article only applies to snapshots and recordings captured manually from Live View in the Reolink App. It does not apply to playback recordings stored on a microSD card, Home Hub, NVR, FTP server, or Reolink Cloud.
Before finding the manually captured files, take a snapshot or start a recording on the Reolink App, and refer to How to Record and Capture Manually on the Reolink App.
If your phone is an iPhone, the captured photos and recorded videos will be stored in your iPhone's album. Check them in your iPhone's album.
Step-by-Step to Find Manually Captured Files on Your Android Phone
Step 1. Open the Files app. Open the Files app on your Android phone. Depending on your device manufacturer, the app may also be called My Files, File Manager, or a similar name.
Step 2. Locate the Reolink folder. Navigate to your phone's Internal Storage (or Phone Storage) and find the Reolink folder.
Note: The storage path may vary slightly depending on your Android device and system version.
Step 3. View your photos and videos. Open the Reolink folder to access your manually captured photos and recorded videos.
You can now:
- View the files
- Share them with others
- Copy or move them to another location
- Delete them if they are no longer needed
If You Can't Find the Files on Your Android Phone
If you cannot locate your manually captured files, try the following:
- Make sure the snapshot or recording has finished saving.
- Search for Reolink using your phone's Files app.
- Check the storage location in the Reolink App, if available. Refer to How to Find the Record/Capture Path via Reolink App on Android Phone.
- Verify that the Reolink App has permission to access your device's storage.
If it persists, restart the Reolink App and try capturing another snapshot or recording.
