What Is Reolink Alarm Ringtone?

Alarm Ringtone is the sound used when a Reolink device sends an alarm push notification to your Android phone.
Note: It is different from the general notification sound of the Reolink App and the Visitor Ringtone for Doorbell calls.

Reolink assigns alarm push notifications to one of four notification levels: Urgent Notification, Important Notification, General Notification, or Mute. You can then use your Android phone's system notification settings to customize the sound and other notification behaviors available for these notifications.

For example, when a camera detects a person, vehicle, or other supported alarm event, the camera can send a push notification to your phone. The ringtone played for this notification is determined by the alarm notification level assigned to the device. You can set your front door camera to use a loud ringtone for Urgent Notification, your garage camera to use a standard ringtone for Important Notification, and your backyard camera to remain silent, depending on your Android phone and system version.

How to Check Whether Your Device Supports It

Alarm Ringtone is available for most Reolink devices. To check whether your device supports this feature, follow the section/setup steps below to confirm it.

If the Alarm Ringtone option is available on your Reolink App, your device supports Alarm Ringtone customization. If the option is not available, the device does not currently support this feature.

How to Customize Reolink Alarm Ringtones on Android Phones

Before setting up, upgrade the Reolink App to the latest version and the Reolink device to the latest firmware version.

Step 1. Launch the Reolink App and log in to your camera. Go to the Device Settings > Push Notification.

In this step, the access path may vary slightly depending on how your camera is connected. This section is divided into three scenarios: standalone camera, connected to an NVR, and connected to a Home Hub. Choose the access path that matches your camera's connection method.

Step 3. Customize Alarm Ringtones in an Android phone's system settings.

Go to your phone's system settings to find the relevant settings under a path similar to:

Settings > Notifications > App notifications > Reolink

Then look for the notification category or channel associated with the Reolink alarm notifications. If your phone provides separate notification categories for Urgent Notification, Important Notification, General Notification, and Mute, you can customize their sounds individually. If your phone combines these notifications into fewer categories, you can only customize the options provided by your phone.

The steps below are based on one Android phone and are for reference only. The settings may vary depending on your phone settings.

❶ Go to phone's Settings > Notifications > App notifications. Enable notifications and then tap Reolink App to find the notification category.
