2. How Reolink Restore Works

1. "Restore" means clearing the device's configuration and resetting it to factory settings, which also resets the password. This allows you to set a new password.

2. For camera restore, you can remotely restore it without having to take it down; tap "Restore" in the software.

3. Restore Reolink Device Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1. Log in to your camera on the Reolink App on your cellphone. 

For the standalone camera, tap the gear.png icon > Administration.

For Reolink NVR or Home Hub, tap NVR >  gear.png icon > Administration.

Step 2. Tap the Restore button to restore the device.

Step 3. After the restore, it's normal for the device to show "Connection failed" as it needs to restart.

Step 4. After a few minutes, you'll see a message stating "Uninitialized device". Tap Device initialization to begin setting a new password for your device.

Step 5. Name your device. Then the initialization is complete.
