Which cameras are compatible with Reolink RLN16-410/NVS16?
The currently available RLN16-410/NVS16 supports most Reolink cameras and up to 18MP resolution (with the NVR firmware updated to the latest version). For other hardware versions of the RLN16-410, compatibility and supported resolutions may vary. Refer to Comprehensive Guide to Reolink NVR Hardware Versions for more details.

Does Reolink RLN16-410/NVS16 support person/vehicle/animal detection of my Reolink cameras?
The RLN16-410/NVS16 currently available supports person/vehicle/animal detection. For other hardware versions of the RLN16-410, support may vary. Refer to Comprehensive Guide to Reolink NVR Hardware Versions for more details.
If your camera supports this feature, it will remain supported after being added to the NVR. To configure person/vehicle/animal detection on the NVR, refer to How to Set up Record Schedule for Reolink Cameras.

What is the maximum storage capacity of Reolink RLN16-410/NVS16?
The currently available RLN16-410/NVS16 supports 2*HDDs, each with a maximum capacity of 8 TB, for a total storage capacity of up to 16 TB. Storage capacity may vary depending on the hardware version. For detailed specifications, refer to How Many HDDs Can I Connect with Reolink NVR System.

Can I connect plug-in Wi-Fi cameras to Reolink RLN16-410/NVS16 when it is already connected to 16 PoE cameras?
No. The RLN16-410/NVS16 has a total of 16 camera ports, allowing up to 16 cameras to be connected, including both PoE cameras and plug-in Wi-Fi cameras. If all 16 camera ports are already occupied, you cannot add any more wired cameras.
If you want to add battery-powered WiFi cameras, the supported quantity may differ. For more details, refer to How Many Cameras Can be Added to Reolink NVRs?
Note: Reolink Duo WiFi/PoE will occupy 2*channels of RLN16-410/NVS16, which affects the total number of cameras that can be added. For more information, refer to Which NVR Can Work with Reolink Duo Series Cameras.

Can I connect Reolink RLN16-410/NVS16 to a PoE switch?
Yes. There are three ways to connect the Reolink NVR to a PoE switch:
Method 1: Plug the PoE switch into the Reolink NVR, and then connect the NVR LAN port to the router.
Method 2: Plug the PoE switch into your router, then connect the NVR LAN port to your PoE switch.Alternatively, you can use another setup to connect the Reolink NVR, PoE switch, and router: Plug the Reolink NVR and the PoE switch into the same router via Ethernet cable. Then plug the PoE cameras into the PoE switch or NVR. Refer to How to Connect PoE Switch Router and PoE NVR for detailed connection.
Note: By adding PoE switches, you will not expand the number of cameras supported by the NVR, since its video channels are immutable.

Can I connect Reolink RLN16-410/NVS16 to the router wirelessly?
No. All Reolink NVRs connect to the router via an Ethernet cable and do not support wireless connection.

Reolink NVRs are designed primarily for use with Reolink cameras, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. However, some third-party cameras can be integrated into Reolink NVR systems under certain conditions. Before we proceed, please note that compatibility cannot be guaranteed, and the process may require advanced technical knowledge.
