Reolink Argus 2&Argus Pro that supports cloud storage, PIR detection, two-way audio etc. functions. 

To better learn the working principle and settings of the camera, here are some instructions for your reference, including (Note: You can click on the keywords below to jump to the corresponding section.)

Siren

A camera with an audio alarm or siren can make a loud prolonged sound as a signal or warning when the camera detects motion alarms.

You can enable this function on Reolink App or Reolink Client.

Two-Way Audio

Two-way audio enables you to receive and transmit audio through the IP camera. Reolink cameras that support two-way audio have a built-in speaker and microphone, you could talk through the camera via your Reolink App/Client when you are far away from home.

You could follow the articles below to enable two-way audio for your Reolink Cameras.

  • On Reolink App

    1. Log in to your camera and enable Record Audio on the Device Settings page.
    2. Return to the camera live view interface. Tap the loudspeakerSpeaker icon to turn on the audio and tap the Talk talk_button.png button to enter the 2-way audio interface.  
    3. Tap the microphoneMicrophone button to talk and tap the button again to turn it off.

      To exit the 2-way audio page, please tap the cross Exit Button icon.

  • On Reolink Client

    1. Launch Reolink Client and log in to the camera, then go to Device Settings -> Camera->Audio and Light page to enable the Record audio switch.
    2. Enable the audio icon at the bottom of the Live View page, then left-click on the Live Liew Page and then click on the Microphone icon. And then click to start talking, the 2-way audio function is enabled and you can talk now. To turn the microphone off, please tap on the icon again.

Time-Lapse

Time-lapse photography, also known as time-lapse video, is a shooting technique that compresses time. It shoots a group of photos or videos Later, by connecting photo series or extracting video frames, the process of several minutes, hours, or even several years is compressed into a short period of time and played as a video. In a time-lapse video, the process of slowly changing objects or scenes is compressed into a short period of time, presenting a wonderful scene that is usually undetectable by the naked eye.

Cloud Storage

Different from local storage, Reolink Cloud service is based on cloud computing technology. It can perform data storage, editing, and retrieval over the InternetPlease note that the Reolink Cloud service is not compulsory but optional. 

The instructions below show you how to subscribe to a Cloud plan via Reolink App or Reolink Cloud website.

Smart Home

You can bind your camera to Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
After integrating this camera into your smart home system, you can easily control it with your voice and show you the camera.
These steps will show you how to add cameras to Smart Home:  

  • Amazon Alexa

    Step 1. Launch the Reolink App and log in your Reolink account, and then you will find the Smart Home option.
    Step 2. Enable the device you want to add to Amazon Alexa in the Smart Home page.
    Step 3. Launch the Amazon Alexa APP, sign in your account and then tap on "Devices" in the bottom right corner.
    Step 4. Select "Your Smart Home Skills" and tap "Enable Smart Home Skills". Please click the "Search" icon at the top right corner and search Reolink Smart Home.
    Step 5. Tap "Enable to Use", type in your Reolink account, and then click "Log in".
    Step 6. Tap on "Discover Devices" or use voice command "Alexa, discover devices". Alexa will scan and show the devices bound to your Reolink account.
    Step 7. Tap on “Set up Device”, you can choose a Group for the camera or you can SKIP this step. Tap on “Continue” to finish the setup.
    Step 8. Done! Now you've added the Reolink camera to Amazon Alexa successfully.

  • Google Home

    Step 1. Launch the Reolink App and log in your Reolink account, and then you will find the Smart Home option.
    Step 2. Enable the device you want to add to Google Home in the Smart Home page.
    Step 3. Launch the Google Home, sign in your account and then Get Started to create a home.
    Step 4.Name your home and click Next to build a connection between the Chromecast and the Google Home.
    Step 5. After the Chromecast found, please check the code shown on your TV and click Yes to continue.
    Step 6.Connect the Wi-Fi network you would like to use with your Chromecast, then you can customize a room name, which will be added to your room list.
    Step 7.Now click thehome_button.pngbutton to enter the account page, and then tap Settings > Assistant > Home Control.
    Step 8. Click the  add_button.png button, search Reolink in the search bar and assign the room for the camera you enabled in the cloud account via Reolink App.
    Step 9. Done! Now you've added the Reolink camera to the Google Home successfully.
    Step 10. To test your camera, please launch the Google Assistance and say “Hey Google, show [name of room where the camera is placed] on [name of Chromecast device].”
