Reolink Argus PT (5/2.4GHz) and Reolink Argus PT 2K are battery/solar-powered cameras with features like person/vehicle detection, two-way audio, pan & tilt, etc.
This article will guide you in configuring some advanced features via Reolink App & Client.
Note:
1. Person/Vehicle Detection
With the on-camera technology of analyzing the shapes of people and vehicles, this camera offers accurate detection, and thus greatly reduces the false alarms on trivial objects’ movements.
In the alarm settings, you can customize the detection zone, sensitivity, object size, and camera recording schedule for the person and vehicle detection on the Reolink App/Client for more accurate detection and fewer unwanted alarms.
Here are the configuration procedures for the recording schedule and object size.
1) Recording Schedule

On Reolink App
- Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Camera Recording > Schedule.
- Tap the detection type button(s) (person, vehicle, others) to enable or disable the detection of different events. You can enable one, two, or all of them according to your needs.

Tap the bar to select the time periods of each day you want to enable or disable recording.

Tap Save to save the settings.
You can go to Device Settings > Push Notifications / Email Alerts / Siren > Schedule on Reolink App to set the schedule for push, email, and siren alarms.

On Reolink Client
- Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Surveillance > Record > Schedule.Note: Make sure that the Enable Record button have been turned on.
- Enable the detection type(s). Select Enable or Disable and draw on the schedule to enable or disable certain time periods for recording. Click the Save button to save your settings. You can go to Device Settings > Surveillance > Push/Email/Siren > Schedule on Reolink Client to set the schedule for push, email, and siren alarms.
2) Object Size
By setting up the object size, you can filter out false alarms caused by insignificant objects, such as cars routinely passing the lane.

On Reolink App
- Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Detection Alarm > Object Size.
- Select Person Motion, Vehicle Motion, or both and draw the maximum and minimum size for detection. If you want to delete the object size settings, tap the Rubbish Bin icon.

Tap Save to save the settings.

On Reolink Client
- Log in to the camera and go to Device settings > Device > Alarm Settings > Motion Detection > Object Size.

2. Detection Zone
You can draw on the camera view to create no-alarm zones where objects' movement will not trigger alarms.

On Reolink App
- Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Detection Alarm > Detection Zone.
- Choose Person, Vehicle, or Others to draw no-alarm zones for them.

Tap the Paint button and paint no-alarm areas within the monitoring range. You also can use the Eraser to modify the zones.

Tap Save to save the setting.

On Reolink Client

- Log in to the camera and go to Device settings > Device > Alarm Settings > Motion Detection.
- Click Non-Detection Zone for further setting.
- Set up non-detection zone and click the Save button to save your settings.

3. Time Lapse
With time lapse, Argus PT (5/2.4GHz) / Argus PT 2K makes it easier to capture long-term dynamic events like the sun rising and flower blooming. Have fun shooting movie-like videos.

On Reolink App
- Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Time Lapse.
- Tap Try Now and select a scene for time-lapse capture.
- Customize settings for the scene you choose and save the settings.

- Log in to the camera and click the Time Lapse button at the bottom of the camera view.

Click Create Now and select a scene for time-lapse capture.

4. Clip
The clip function helps you enlarge the specific area you want to check.

On Reolink App

Go to the camera live view interface and tap the Clip button to enter the Clip interface.

Drag the rectangle to the part you want to magnify, as instructed.

Log in to the camera and click the Clip icon at the bottom of the Live View.

Move the rectangle on the clip view to enlarge the part you want to check.

5. Pan & Tilt
You can remotely control Argus PT (5/2.4GHz) / Argus PT 2K to pan and tilt to see more areas.

On Reolink App
- Tap the PTZ icon on the camera view interface to unfold the PTZ interface.
- Press and hold the circle button and move it left/right/up/down.

Log in to the camera and click the PTZ icon at the bottom of the Live View interface.

Click the direction buttons to rotate the camera.

6. Siren
Cameras with an audio alarm or siren can make a loud and prolonged sound as a signal or warning when the camera detects moving objects.

On Reolink App

Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Siren (under Notification Settings).

Tap the switch to enable the siren. You can choose the default sound or custom sound, test the sound, and set the siren schedule.

7. Two-Way Audio
The built-in mic & speaker allow you to listen and talk back in real time to people on the other side of the camera. This function is only available via Reolink App & Client.

On Reolink App

Log in to your camera on Reolink App, go to Device Settings > Advanced, and enable Record Audio.

Return to the camera view interface. Tap the loudspeaker icon to turn on the audio and tap the Talk button to enter the 2-way audio interface.

Tap the microphone button to talk and tap the button again to turn it off. To exit the 2-way audio page, tap the cross icon.

On Reolink Client
- Log in to the camera and go to Device Settings > Device > Sounds to enable Record Audio.Click the loudspeaker icon at the bottom of the Live View interface to enable audio. Move the cursor to the bottom of the live view and click the Talk icon.
- Click to start talking. Click the microphone button again when you stop talking.
