Note: Before you start, please click or scan the QR code to download and install the latest version of the Reolink App.
There are two methods to initially set up the E1 Series Camera with Lan port.
1. You may follow the steps below to do the initial setup by WiFi via Reolink App
Step 1. Please click the “+ ” button in the top right corner to add the camera.
Step 2. Scan the QR code on the camera.
Step 3. Click Choose WIFI connection to configure the Wi-Fi settings. Tick I have heard the repeated Ding sound, then tap Next.
Step 4. Enter the Wi-Fi password of the selected Wi-Fi network (you may tap see and double-check the password) and tap Next.
Step 5. Then a QR code will be generated and displayed on your phone. Please place the QR code on your phone in front of the camera’s lens at a distance of about 30 cm (12 inches) and let the camera scan the QR code.
Step 6. Tick I have heard the beep sound or I have heard the voice prompt and tap Next.
Step 7. Click Connection to the router succeeded or Connection to the router failed based on what you hear.
Step 8. You may need to initialize your camera: Create a login password and Name your camera.
Step 9. Initialization finished. Click Use Now and start to preview now.
2. You may follow the steps below to initially set up the camera by Ethernet cable via Reolink App
For initial set up, please power on this camera by DC adapter and also connect the camera to your router LAN port with an Ethernet cable, and then follow the steps below. Make sure your camera and your phone are on the same network.
Step 1. If you've opened the Add Device Automatically option in the Settings page, you can click this device in the Devices page and turn to step 2 directly. If you don't enable that option, you can click + on the upright corner, scan the QR code on the camera to add this device.
Step 2. Create the password and name the device.
Step 3. Choose the WiFi network you want to join in, enter the password of the WiFi network, and
then click Save to save the configuration.
Note: If this device can't connect to the WiFi after you remove the Ethernet cable, you can connect it to the router again and see if it can pass the WiFi test. Refer to: Configure WiFi Settings via Reolink APP
