record specific settings

  1. Overwrite: The NVR HDD Overwrite function ensures continuous recording by automatically managing hard drive storage. When the HDD becomes full or reaches the time you set, the NVR will overwrite the oldest video footage, allowing for uninterrupted recording.

    Notes:

    • No overwrite: The camera stops recording new videos when the HDD is full.
    • Oldest: The camera will start to overwrite the oldest video with the newest video when the HDD is full.
    • 1/2/3/7/14/30 days: The camera will start to overwrite videos after the corresponding time intervals, even though the HDD may be far from full.
  2. File Encryption: Encrypts video recordings, preventing unauthorized access to the content. Once File Encryption is enabled on a compatible device, all video recordings are encrypted when saving.
  3. Post-motion recording: The camera could be set to keep recording for a certain time after the recording-triggering motion event ends. The available options vary depending on the camera model.
  4. Pack Duration: Refers to the time period for which video footage is retained and stored on a NVR or a similar recording device. It defines how long the recorded video will be kept before the system starts overwriting the oldest footage. If you set the camera to record constantly, the recording file is packaged on HDD every 30/45/60 minutes according to your pack duration settings. The default pack duration is 60 minutes.
