About the Clip Function
The Clip function allows you to digitally zoom in on a selected area of the live view. Please note:
-
Temporary View Only – Clip is only available during live preview. Once you exit the Clip window or switch to another camera, the view will return to the normal perspective. It cannot be saved or exported.
-
Not Supported on NVR monitor– If the camera is added to a Reolink NVR, please note that this feature is not available on the NVR monitor.
- Alternative: If your camera model does not support the Clip function, you can still use the digital zoom feature to enlarge a specific area of the image.
How to Use the Clip Function
Via Reolink App
- Launch Reolink App and go to the Camera Live View page, then tap the Clip icon.
- Drag the blue rectangle on the live-view image of the Clip menu to the position you want to see. And it will be digitally zoomed in on the live view of the camera.
Via Reolink Client
- Launch Reolink Client. Choose a camera, and click the Clip icon on the live view page.
- In the pop-up Clip interface, there is a blue square. Move this square to select the area you want to zoom in on. You can scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. Then it will be digitally zoomed in on the live-view page as the picture shows below.
Via Reolink Web browser
Note: Reolink battery-powered cameras and Reolink Lumus do not support web access so their clip feature cannot be used via web browsers.
- Access camera on a web browser.
